From early age , Akshay Kumar has keen interest in Sports & Karate . He Lived and grew up in Delhi’s Chandni Chowk area and later moved to Mumbai when his father left his army job to join as an accountant with UNICEF . He dropped his college and went to Thailand to get training in Martial Arts . During his stay in Thailand he used to work there as a Chef and waiter.
Akshay Kumar married Twinkle Khanna is 2001 who is the daughter of veteran actor Rajesh Khanna and Dimple Kapadia. He is a very protetive father and keeps his childrens away from the media attention.
Career / Awards & Achievements :-
After completing training in Martial Arts from Thailand, Kumar opened his teaching institute of martial arts. One of the father of his martial arts student recommended Akshay Kumar to do modelling and got him a modelling assignment with a Furniture Showroom. He also worked as a assistant photographer and background dancer during the initial years of struggle. In 2008, he hosted the show Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi.
In 2009, he founded the Hari Om Entertainment production company and Grazing Goat Pictures production company in 2012 . He is also the owner of the team Khalsa Warriors in the World Kabaddi League.
