Hema Malini was the third child of her family born in Madras. Her mother was a film producer. She left her studies after 12th to start her acting career. She started her career as a dancer in Tamil film in the year 1961. Her first film Sapno ka saudagar did not go well at the box office. But still she remained the highest paid actress of her time till four years.
Hema Malini has worked with Dharmendra in around 35 films together. While shooting for film Sholay Dharmendra fell for Hema Malini and used to bribe the spot boys to switch off the lights frequently so that he would get a chance to re take with her.
