Rohit was born to movie stuntman Madhu .B Shetty and Ratna Shetty who was a junior bollywood artist. Born in Mangalore he was raised with his 4 sisters and 2 brothers. In his childhood he used to see films and aspired to become a director since then. He studied at St. Mary’s School till the age of 17 and later entered the film industry as a assistant director to Kuku Kohli.
Rohit Shetty ‘s father was a fight director and a famous villain of the 70s and so he was also referred to as Fighter Shetty. Rohit’s father died when he was just 7 years old. After this incident his family was very much into crisis and so his mother went to Amitabh Bachchanfor help and he helped. Currently he is hosting the reality show Khatron ke Khiladi.
