Smriti Irani is a former model, actress as well as producer turned to a Politician. Smriti started her career with modelling and was a finalist of Miss femina India 1997. However she came into limelight when she played the role of Tulsi in her TV show Kyuki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. She even played the role of Sita in Ramayan. She soon left the TV industry and was selected as the minister of human resource development for government of India.

Smriti Irani was a popular household name who has now turned into a politician. Her grandfather was an RSS swayamsevak and her mom was a member of Jana Sangh. Once in an interview she revealed that her parents never had big dreams for her and they just wanted her to get married to a good boy.
While growing up Smriti Irani always wanted to a jounalist or a civil engineer. However her father was against her decision and thought neither of these profession would suit her.
